Yay for original stories. We love the Disney, but sometimes it's a little too... Disney?

Also, yay for changing the ending of original stories!! Go on! Make it your own.

haha aaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwww

Reply Guest, January 24th, 2007, 4:42 pm

Aaawww...I wanted him to die. I know that's not nice to say, but...I can't help but feel that it could be a very powerful statement in favor of homosexual marriages...

*shurg*'s only a webcomic...

Reply Devdasi, January 24th, 2007, 4:48 pm

Aww poor Marlin, I'm glad you're changing the ending I was worried for a second when you said it was the original story haha.

Reply Rainbird (Guest), January 24th, 2007, 9:36 pm

Yeah.. I noticed a few typos too. But man, am I loving this! Can't wait til the next page.

Reply Guest, January 24th, 2007, 9:41 pm

Awe c'mon, Dev, of course it'd be a horrible ending, that's what makes the point ^_~ But like I said, this is a webcomic, not a social outcry. So yay for happier endings!!

I remember the implications of the first story being that Merfolk had no immortal soul, as so the risk of turning to sea foam was far greater, not to mention the degree of the sacrifice she was willing to make...I don't even know why I'm typing this, I'm just in such a romantic mood...

Reply Goshii, January 25th, 2007, 4:02 am

releaved great, I like how you are planing, cuz the original is much beter, but it is a tragedi and I don't want anybody to die.... Unless they both die together, that could work aswell....:P

Reply Nutterbutter (Guest), January 25th, 2007, 5:08 pm

Muahaha He could always go sociopathic with jealous rage when the prince's new bishi boyfriend comes around, get all emo, kill himself, the prince and his lover and er yeah >..> ::cough:: anyways back to my lil padded corner.

Reply Morwen (Guest), January 28th, 2007, 8:08 am

I was half expecting her to say :D Your virginity!!!!!! XD

Then we would all probobly be like " What 0_o het??!!!! Noooo!"

Reply fruitsbasketfaerie, July 18th, 2007, 11:31 pm

AT LEAST at least it's not like the original lil' mermaid. cause the sea witch cuts out ariel's tounge and wears it as a necklace.

Reply NekrophylliaCookie, July 24th, 2007, 1:43 am

This seems different from the one I knew,
-mermaids live for a really long time but eventually die and turn into sea foam, no souls D:

-Gives up voice

-Prince falls in love, but then gets married to princess.

-sisters tell her to kill the prince with an enchanted dagger and she can live with them as a mermaid again

-doesn't because she loves him too much

-but instead of dying like real mermaids, she is given a soul.

I like that one. :D

Mooore please Heehee. I put up a whole story-line back there...sorry bout that. I ran out of time to read farther.

I see that you're going to follow that. Hm..

By the way..if you ever get a chance (if you haven't already), could you do the story about the fisherman who is greedy, and when he saves a fish by letting it go free, it gives him a wish?

See, then the fish grants him his wish of having a beautiful wife. However, the fish cannot give her a voice of her own, not completely. It's trapped in a music box. The wife can retrieve her voice whenever she wants, though.

She doesn't like her husband that much. He's never content with the meal, and always wants more that they can have.

He dies at sea. With his wife's voice-box. She gave it to him for "good luck" and for a memento of her.

But now she can never get it back.

And while the wife is unhappy with her husband, and he is away, she's been having an affair with...dun dun dun...the butcher!!

He (the butcher) no longer wants her, if he can't hear her beautiful voice. So now she's been ditched by TWO men. AND she's mute.

Something happy happens to her, but I can't quite remember at the moment...something good. Something about a house in the woods and two friends..Maybe you could bring back Mr.Wolf and Red?

I think I'm mixing stories.. *sigh* Woe is my poor memory. I mix things up too much...I mean, for chrissakes, I read five books at a time! Who DOES that?!

Thx. Sorry for all this...blabbering.

Hehe. I'm glad you're following the original, un-Disneyfied version. :)
